VI COMMANDO

L/Cpl. Peter Masters formerly of No.3 Troop (often known as X-Troop) of No.10 (IA) Commando, served with No.1 (Bicycle) Troop of No.6 Commando from 5th June until 21st June 1944.

L/Cpl. Peter Masters (real name Peter F. Arany) was a German National born in 1922.  

Following the loss of their No.10 (IA) Commando attachment, L/Cpl. Peter Masters joined No.4 Commando and was shortly thereafter promoted to Corporal. During operations in 1945 in Holland & Germany he was posted to No.45 (RM) Commando HQ and then to No.46 (RM) Commando HQ. 

Peter Masters was commissioned as a Lieutenant in the Oxford & Bucks Light Infantry and later became Director of Graphic Communications for the U.S. Government in Washington .
